What is CELLFINA?

The Cellfina® System treats the primary structural cause of cellulite—the connective bands woven throughout fat in the thighs and buttocks. These tight bands pull down the skin, creating the puckering you see on the surface of the skin. Similar to a rubber band under tension, once released, the treated skin bounces back to smooth itself out in as little as three days. This one-time cellulite treatment is performed in our office in less than an hour.

Who Is a Good Candidate for CELLFINA?

Any adult woman who is bothered by cellulite is a good potential candidate. While we sometimes associate cellulite with excess weight, these dimples affect many women regardless of weight, level of physical activity or body mass index. Excess fat may be a contributing factor, but it is also possible to be slender or physically active and still have cellulite.

What is the CELLFINA System?

Cellfina® is the only FDA-cleared, minimally invasive, one-time procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least three years—the longest FDA-cleared duration for a cellulite treatment. What Areas can be Treated With CELLFINA?

Cellfina® was designed to treat cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas of adult females. Safety and effectiveness in other anatomical areas have not been established.

What is the CELLFINA Procedure Like?

The Cellfina® Procedure consists of one simple in-office visit that typically lasts 45 minutes ( pending on number of areas treated). First our provider makes pre-treatment markings. Then, they infiltrate anesthesia and release the tissue causing dimples under the skin.

How Soon Will I See Improvements?

Patients can see results in as few as three days. In our pivotal study, patient satisfaction was 85 percent at three months, 94 percent at one year, 96 percent at two years and 93 percent at 3 years — surpassing the patient satisfaction rates of other leading cellulite treatments.

How Long Will My Results Last?

Patients in our pivotal study showed significant improvement shortly after the treatment, with results lasting at least three years — the longest FDA-cleared duration for a cellulite treatment.

Are There Any Side Effects?

No serious adverse events were reported in the Cellfina® FDA-cleared pivotal study. The most common side effects reported by patients in the study were soreness, tenderness, and bruising. Just three days after treatment, patients rated their pain as minimal (2.7 on a scale of 0 to 10; 0=no pain, 10=extreme pain), and most (82%) felt pain only with touch or pressure to the area treated. This minimal pain improved quickly with time, and more than 90% of patients reported no bruising after four weeks.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is limited downtime associated with Cellfina®. Some patients experience initial soreness and tenderness, but these side effects typically resolve quickly. Overall downtime is only 3-7 days.
